Operation Lightspeed - Page Seven

 Several of the personnel are working and don't paid any attention to the five working through.  Chad wonders where they are.  Kelsey thinks it's cool.  Joel pauses for a moment and begins pressing buttons on one of the control panels.  Very quickly, an alarm goes off.  Joel quickly presses more buttons, trying to turn off the alarm.  Dana walks over to him and gives him a stern look.  Joel tries to act causal as Dana, very efficiently, turns off the alarm.  She grabs Joel by his vest and pulls him along. 

They enter a conference room.  A man welcomes them to Lightspeed Aquabase.  Everyone is silent for a moment.  Joel steps forward and tells the man, I don't know who you are, but this is illegal.  This is kidnapping!  The man introduces himself as Captain William Mitchell.  Captain Mitchell tells them, none of you will be held against your will.  You are free to go.  Joel immediately starts to leave but is quickly blocked by a Lightspeed personnel.  Captain Mitchell continues, that is, AFTER, you hear me out.  Captain Mitchell has the group sit.  Once they are seated, Captain Mitchell immediately launches into his explanation.  Five-thousand years ago, this part of the Earth was inhabited by...evil spirits.
