Quasar Quest, Part I - Page Two

As the Stingwingers wreck havoc, a strange creature casually walks in, Furio.  Maya manages to fight off a couple of Stingwingers as she tries to escape.  Furio pulls out his sword and walks towards the Quasar Sabers (Jera has left for safety).  Furio gloats, finally, the Quasar Sabers will be mine!  Furio pulls at a Quasar Saber, but it will not pull free. 

Above Earth, Terra Venture is preparing for it's journey.  Several  of Terra Venture's employees walk behind Commander Stanton as he walks alongside Mike as Mike fills him in.  The engine test will occur at 0800.  Commander Stanton is pleased.  He tells Mike to keep those shuttles running on schedule.  Add more flights if necessary.  People, Terra Venture leaves orbit to find a new world in eight hours.  Keep up the good work.  The staff leaves, but Mike continues to walk with Commander Stanton as he gives him more updates.  The reactors are charged at 98.8% and rising.  Mike and Commander Stanton enter the science room.  Commander Stanton greets Kendrix.  Kendrix quickly stands up and tells him, these are the last of the experimental hybrids and running ahead of schedule by twenty minutes.  Gently teasing her, Commander Stanton replies, only twenty minutes.  Mike teases her as well, adding running behind today aren't you?  Grinning, Kendrix shakes her head.  Commander Stanton and Mike enter the bridge.  He is very pleased with all the systems checks.  Commander Stanton walks over to a computer console and is checking it when he notices Mike staring out of one of the windows.  Commander Stanton joins Mike at the window.  Mike is gazing at Earth.  Commander Stanton comments, beautiful isn't it?  Mike replies yes sir, it is.  Commander Stanton tells Mike to take a good long look.  Odds are you will never see her again.  Commander Stanton walks away as Mike mulls over what he has told him as he continues to look at Earth.

At the check in for Terra Venture, there is a large crowd, pushing and shoving to show their passports and board Terra Venture.  An elderly lady pleads with the woman behind the counter to check again, she is sure there is a mistake.  A man is asked for his medical records by a man behind the counter.  Among the this push and shove crowd is Bulk and Professor Phenomenus.  They are also checking in at the counter.  Bulk feels as if they are forgetting something.  Bulk asks the Professor if they are forgetting something?  Professor Phenomenus replies, not that I remember. 

In his home, Skull sleeps peacefully through the alarm sitting on his chest.  

Bulk and Professor Phenomenus are jubilant when their passports are approved.  As they hug each other, two security men are escorting a young man, Leo, out.  One of the security men yells Leo, and don't come back until you do have passport!  Leo responds, alright, alright, cool off.  Readjusting his carryon, Leo walks out.
