The strings wrap around the Rangers, forms into a cocoon, and encases them inside. Red Ranger punches and kicks, but cannot break free from the cocoon. Red Ranger wonders, what is this stuff? Pink Ranger has no idea, but it's pretty strong. Red Ranger tries contacting Zordon, but gets no response. Blue Ranger notes his communicator's signal is jammed. He asks the rest of the Rangers if theirs is getting through and they all reply no. Yellow Ranger wonders if they can teleport out of here? Blue Ranger replies no, and there seems to be no way out. Pink Ranger suggests they keep looking, there's got to be a way.
From the Moon Palace, Goldar gives the command to throw them down the cliff and into the ocean!
On the edge of a cliff, several Putties shake and eventually push the cocoon into the ocean. Blue Ranger notes that they are moving and it feels like we are on water. Red Ranger instructs the team to hold on.
Alpha 5 has been watching the Rangers on the viewing globe and he becomes alarmed. Alpha 5 informs Zordon that the Power Rangers are in trouble and we can't get through. Zordon replies they will be both brave and clever and break the cocoon. Zordon instructs Alpha 5 to contact Tommy.
At Angel Grove High School, Tommy is next to audition. He walks into the classroom, leaving his gym bag out in the hall. Inside the gym bag is his communicator and it goes off, but Tommy is already in the classroom. Tommy faces the table. The lady asks Tommy what his years of karate done for you? Tommy replies it has really helped me discipline myself, especially with my school work. Plus it has given me a lot of self confidence. The lady is impressed and tells Tommy let's see what you can do. Another lady cues the music. Tommy does several spinning kicks and front kicks. The group at the table is impressed. Tommy continues his routine. He does more spinning kicks, karate punches, and splits in the air. Tommy leaps onto the table, startling the group. Tommy flips off the table and completes his routine. The lady tells Tommy, we would like to talk to you.
Alpha 5 tells Zordon that Tommy is not answering. Zordon instructs Alpha 5 to keep trying.
The cocoon continues to float in the ocean. Blue Ranger tells the rest that the air is getting thin.
Goldar is watching and laughing.
The Rangers are getting tossed around in the cocoon.
Black Ranger suggests they try their weapons. The Power Rangers pull out their Blade Blasters. Black Ranger thinks they can blast their way out of here. Red Ranger instructs the team to set the weapons on low power and fire on my mark. Red Ranger counts backwards from three and then the Rangers fire their weapons. A hole begins to appear in the cocoon.
