Forest For The Trees - Page Three
Green Ranger wonders why it's not working. Desperaino fires at them from above and then flies away. Blue Ranger is upset that Desperaino got away. Blue Ranger yells at Green Ranger, what were you thinking? Green Ranger struggles to reply, I just wanted to....help.
Mentor Ji tells Mike how disappointed he is. Putting yourself before the needs of the team, puts all of you in serious danger. Here, I thought you were finally listening to me and training hard to strengthen the team. I can't believe it's come to this. You have become a risk to the others. I'll have to ask you to turn over your Samuraizer. Mike is stunned. You're benching me! Mentor Ji replies, it pains me to say it. I don't think you are truly ready to become a Samurai. Mike has had enough of Mentor Ji's lecture. He tells him, you don't know anything about me. If I'm not ready, then how can I do this? Mike creates a symbol power. It turns one of the leaves of a plant behind Mentor Ji, long and strong. The leaf wraps itself around Mentor Ji's stick and tries to yank it from his hand. Mentor Ji struggles to hold onto it. Mentor Ji tells him to stop this. The rest of the team is outrage. Jayden tells Mike that is enough. Mentor Ji yanks the stick hard enough that it causes the planter to fall and crash onto the floor. Mike tells them, none of you understand. I'm out of here. Mike walks out, leaving his Samuraizer behind. Emily asks Mentor Ji if he is okay. Mentor Ji replies, that he is fine.
Kevin, Mia, and Emily are sitting outside. Kevin just doesn't get why Mike was acting so childish. Mia thinks they both were being childish. Kevin doesn't think Mentor Ji was being childish. He's got every reason to be frustrated. Emily tells them, Mike made a mistake, but it really hurt him to be left out. Kevin realizes that, but they had to choose the best person for the job. Mia thinks Mike has more than enough symbol power to handle the Beetle disc. Emily wonders why Mentor Ji picked Mia over Mike. Mia replies, they just made a choice. Doesn't mean it's the right one.
Inside Shiba House, Jayden is playing with his Lion zord. Mentor Ji is straightening up the table that the planter stood on. Jayden tells Mentor Ji that he's been pushing Mike pretty hard lately. Mentor Ji replies, it's my responsibility to train him to be a worthy samurai. Jayden remarks yes, but push a door that's meant to be pulled and it will never open. You taught me that. Mentor Ji just wishes Mike would listen like Jayden. Jayden points out that Mike is not him. You taught me that everyone is different, like their symbol power is.
