Billy and Trini morph. Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger teleport to the entrance of the cave where Kimberly is held. There are several Putties guarding the entrance. Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger prepare to battle the Putties. Blue Ranger fights a set of Putties while Yellow Ranger fights another set of Putties. Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger defeat the Putties. Blue Ranger states, let's go find Kimberly! Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger run into the cave. Inside the cave, Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger discover Kimberly, Goldar, Squatt, and Baboo. Blue Ranger does a flying kick to Goldar. The two Rangers manage to get Kimberly's morpher and the three take off running out of the cave. They stop for a moment and Yellow Ranger tells Kimberly, I can't believe you fooled Goldar! Kimberly replies, I know. I should have been an actress. Kimberly laughs. Blue Ranger's communicator goes off and Blue Ranger responds, Alpha come in. We read you. Alpha 5 tells them they have a new emergency. Zedd's Mirror Maniac monster is in Angel Grove central park. Blue Ranger asks, have you been able to contact Jason yet? Alpha 5 replies, yes. Jason and Zack are on their way to the park. Meet them there as soon as you can. Kimberly morphs and the three Rangers teleport to the park. Black Ranger and Red Ranger are there already. Blue Ranger and the rest of the Rangers battle the Putties that are at the park as Mirror Maniac looks on. Soon Mirror Maniac grows to giant size. The Rangers call for their Thunder Zords and quickly form Thunder Megazord. Thunder Megazord destroys Mirror Maniac. After the battle, Billy, Kimberly, and Zack got to the Youth Center. Billy tells Kimberly what a close call she had, and Kimberly comments that it was a good thing the dust did not work. Kimberly is searching through her backpack and becomes upset when she cannot find the mirror Tommy won for her. Curtis rolls in and greets them. Curtis has the mirror and asks if they know who it belongs to? Kimberly thanks Curtis for finding it and Curtis tells her anything for a beautiful lady. Bulk and Skull enter the Youth Center and are dismayed that instead of finding Power Rangers, they have found dweebs. Skull tosses the treasure map onto the floor. Billy picks it up and asks them if they had looked at the back of it. The back of the map has a free offer of a protein muffin. Ernie tells them Madam Swampy is a friend of his and they thought it would be a clever promotion. Bulk doesn't think so. Bulk and Skull start to eat the protein muffins. Richie points out that they have to buy lunch first, to get the free protein muffin. Bulk and Skull try to spit the muffin out, but Ernie wants payment. Bulk and Skull search their pockets but find no money. Ernie hands Bulk and Skull aprons and they spend the rest of the day doing dishes.

Bulk and Skull enter the Juice Bar. Bulk: "Hey! Where are our sandwiches to go?!" Skull: "Yeah, we haven't got all day! " Billy and Trini are there as well. Trini: "Excuse me, but does that account for your rudeness?" Bulk and Skull tell Billy and Trini about their latest plan to discover the identities of the Power Rangers. Billy, Trini, and Richie chuckle. Richie gives Bulk and Skull their sandwiches and they head out. Kimberly excitedly comes in and tells Billy and Trini that she has received a letter from Tommy. Tommy will be back at the end of the week. Billy, Trini, and Kimberly decide to throw a party to mark the occasion. Billy, Kimberly, and Trini head out to the park. Zack, Jason, and Curtis are playing football in Angel Grove park with several other guys. Billy, Kimberly, and Trini find them and tell the news about Tommy. Zack and Jason are happy about the return of their friend. After awhile, an explosion is heard through the park. Curtis asks, man, are they dynamiting up there? Zack replies, not that I know of. Jason tells the guys to keep playing, we'll be right back. Jason gives his water bottle to Trini and he and Billy hurry in the direction of the explosion. Kimberly tells them to hurry up. Soon Billy and Jason reach an area where they feel the explosion took place. It's obvious to them, that something had landed and now has vanished. After a few moments, Jason's communicator goes off and Zack asks them to teleport to the statue in the park. Billy and Jason teleport to the statue. The statue is dripping in goo. Billy is sure the statue is a Lord Zedd plot. Suddenly several Putties arrive in the park. Billy, Jason, Kimberly, Trini, and Zack battled the Putties. Eventually the teens defeat the Putties. Jason tries to contact Zordon and gets no response. This makes the teens more uneasy and they decide to teleport to the Command Center to find out what is going on. The teens teleport to the Command Center. It is dark and running on emergency power only. The teens are puzzled as to why Zordon would leave without telling them. Billy finds a disc and tells his friends they need to go back to his lab, where he will found out what is going on.
