BULK & SKULL

Page Seventeen

Angel Grove was having a "Adopt A Pet" program in the park.  Just as it was ending, Bulk and Skull come running up.  Bulk shouts at Billy, Trini, Kimberly, and Jason don't anybody move.  Skull tells them, they want a pet too.  Bulk adds, something cool and different, like us.  Norman, a pig,  comes squealing out from underneath the table.  Billy tells them, fellas, meet Norman.  Kimberly gives Bulk the leash.  Bulk and Skull take a look at the pig and decide they like the idea of Norman being their pet.  The next day, Bulk and Skull bring Norman to school.  A large crowd of students have gathered around them.  Bulk feeds Norman as he tells the crowd, this is my pig, Norman.  Isn't he cool?  The students are amused.  Skull is reading a book about pigs.  He tells Bulk, it says here that pigs are smarter than most animals.  Bulk replies, and some people.  Bulk tells the students to check this out.  Norman, roll over.  Norman continues to eat.  Bulk continues, Norman, play dead.  Norman continues to eat and the students start to laugh.  Bulk gives it one more try.  Norman, stand there and ignore me.  Norman ignores Bulk.  Bulk is happy, but the students are not impressed.  Bulk kneels down and tells Norman, he is the smartest pig in the world.  After school, Bulk is enjoying a sub sandwich at the Youth Center.  Skull takes a sneak bite out of it.  Norman is eating out of his dish.  A young woman walks up to their table and tells them, he's adorable.  What's his name?  Skull replies, Bulk.  Bulk tells him, not me, the pig.  Skull tells her, Norman.  The young woman walks over to pet Norman and fuss over him. Bulk leans over to Skull and tells him, this is going to work out better than I thought.  Skull adds, much better.  A few moments later, Ernie walks in with a carton of produce when he spots the pig.  He places the carton on the counter and walks over to Bulk and Skull.  He yells at them, what do you think you are doing?  You guys can't bring this pig in here!   Suddenly Norman transforms into Pudgy Pig.  Ernie and the patrons race out of the Youth Center.  Skull comments, it's didn't said anything like that in the book.  Bulk and Skull scream and get up from the table.  Pudgy Pig fills it's mouth with their popcorn.  Pudgy Pig chases Bulk and Skull around the Youth Center.  Trying to get away, Skull runs into the punching bag and lands on the floor.  Bulk helps him up.  Bulk asks Pudgy Pig, don't you recognize us?  We're your parents!  Skull points to his face and then Bulk's face.  Pudgy Pig clambers for more food.  Zack walks in and quickly assesses the situation.  Zack tells Bulk to give him the food (Bulk is still holding on to his sub sandwich), he's just hungry.  Bulk protests, I haven't eaten since lunch.  Skull adds, me neither!  Zack tells them you better give him food or you're going to be lunch.  Bulk tears a small piece of his sandwich off and tosses it into Pudgy Pig's mouth.  It's not enough and Zack tells Bulk, you're going to have to do better than that.  Reluctantly Bulk gives the rest of his sandwich to Pudgy Pig.  Bulk tells him, well nice knowing ya.  Skull adds, we're out of here.  Bulk and Skull race out of the Youth Center.  Eventually the Power Rangers are able to transform Pudgy Pig back to Norman, who is then adopted by a farmer.  The next day, Bulk and Skull are sitting in Miss Appleby's classroom.  Mr. Caplan stands in front of the classroom.  He tells the class that Miss Appleby is absent today, so I'll be substituting.  I've got a wonderful lecture prepared and fortunate enough to have a stunning live specimen here in our own class.  Mr. Caplan opens the door and brings in a pig.  Mr. Caplan announces, a pig.  Bulk asks Skull, did he say pig?  Skull confirms that he did.  Bulk and Skull scream and run to the back of the classroom, where they climb on top of a table to stay as far away from the pig as possible.  Mr. Caplan is bewildered by their behavior.  The rest of the class, including Billy, Trini, Zack, Kimberly, and Jason laugh.

Bulk and Skull were walking down the halls of Angel Grove High School.  Bulk pushes a student aside as he walks along.  Trini is the first to notice Bulk and Skull and comments to her friends.  Bulk and Skull stop and face the teens.  Bulk tells them, don't count on seeing any big ones dork, because they are going to be at the end of my hook.  Skull adds yeah, his hook.  Billy, Zack, Jason, Kimberly, and Trini are not impressed.  Bulk opens his locker and lots of mostly fishing stuff falls out.  Bulk and Skull try to catch the stuff, but most of it ends up on the floor.  Trini tells Bulk, that's disgusting.  Bulk doesn't know what she means.  He walks over and picks up a can of bait off the floor.  Bulk tells her, this is perfectly good bait.  Skull adds, yeah, it will make us irresistible to fish.  Just like with the ladies.  Skull gives a wink.  Bulk shakes his head in agreement.  Trini tells Skull to get a life.  Annoyed, Bulk asks Skull, what are you yapping about?  Get the stuff, there is fish waiting to be caught.  They head back over to the locker.  Skull picks up a net, unaware that Bulk's foot is in it, and Bulk falls to the floor.  Bulk glares at Skull, but Skull is amused.  He tells Bulk, look Bulk, I caught one already.  Bulk scrambles up and Skull stays a safe distance away.  Skull walks backwards as he tells Bulk to take it easy as Bulk goes after him.  Later, Bulk and Skull are at the park, fishing at the pond.  Bulk is screaming as he tries to pull out a "fish".  Skull is kneeling close by with a net at the ready.  Billy and Kimberly are also at the park and when they heard the screaming, they came running.  Kimberly can't believe it's only Bulk and Skull.  Bulk declares, I got the big one!  He pulls it out and it's a no fishing sign.  Skull is thrilled with the catch and congratulates Bulk on catching a no fishing sign.  He wonders how the fish knew Bulk would be fishing today.  Kimberly tells them, some fishermen you guys are.  Skull excitedly shows off the other cool stuff they caught, mostly junk.  Kimberly and Billy shake their heads.  Bulk is angry and tells Skull to clam it up.  He yanks the sign out of Skull's hands and tosses it aside.  Bulk walks over to another stretch of the pond and Skull follows him.  They try their hand at fishing once more.  Billy comments to Kimberly, at least they are cleaning up the environment.  Kimberly laughs.  Bulk and Skull cast out their lines and are unaware that the hooks have caught onto their pants.  Bulk and Skull tug harder and harder on their lines.  They both think they have caught fish and pull even harder on their fishing poles.  Eventually they pull so hard, they end up falling into the lake.  Kimberly and Billy laugh and walk away.  Skull laughs, amused at being in the pond.  Bulk is not and yells at him to pipe down!  You're scaring off all the fish.  Skull immediately becomes quiet.  The next day, Bulk and Skull walk into the Youth Center.  Kimberly comments, it's really starting to smell fishy around here.  Bulk tells her it's because he caught the king of the sea.  With disbelief, Jason asks Bulk, what did you catch?  Zack replies, probably a cold.  Bulk tells them, I got the big one.  Something you nerds could never do.  Bulk snaps his fingers and tells Skull to show them.  Skull pulls out a big can of tuna from the bag.  Everyone laughs, except for Bulk.  Bulk, in a low voice, tells Skull, I thought I told you to buy a big fish.  Skull replies, I did!  It's the only kind of fish I know.  The teens laugh some more.  Bulk, angrily, asks Billy, what are you laughing at?  Let me see what you caught!  Bulk grabs the bag from Billy and puts his head inside it.  Billy warns him, I'll be careful there's a....Bulk removes his head and there is a lobster tangling from his nose.  Billy finishes, a live lobster in there.  The teens laugh once more.
